US Embassy to Georgia on Monday said statements by Mamuka Mdinaradze, the Georgian Dream Executive Secretary “are categorically false and demonstrate a lack of understanding of what the United States Embassy does to support President Trump and Secretary of State Rubio’s top priorities of making America safer, stronger and more prosperous.”
Mamuka Mdinaradze earlier said, “It is regrettable that the statements and narratives of the newly elected U.S. government stand in stark contrast to the actions of its lower echelons, including the US Embassy in Georgia, which are completely detached from the words we hear.”
According to Mdinaradze, “If anyone in this country believes that street protests, PR campaigns, and the disruptions orchestrated by the opposition are occurring in isolation from the influential patrons of these activities or from the U.S. Embassy in Georgia, they fundamentally misunderstand the context of what is happening in Georgia today- both globally and in specific instances.”
