In 2Q2023 compared to the same quarter of previous year the volume of business sector turnover increased by 15.2 percent and amounted to GEL 48 billion.
The production value of the business sector is characterized by the increasing tendency. In 2Q2023, its volume equaled to GEL 18.3 billion, which is year-on-year 10.8% more.
In 2Q2023, 63.8% of total turnover comes on large and 15.2% – on medium businesses while 21% is distributed to small business.
A small difference is in case of total production value: 45.2% comes on large, 23% – on medium and 31.8% on small businesses.
In 2Q2023, the average number of persons employed equaled to 737.7 thousand, which is year-on-year 6.1 percent more. Out of the total number of persons employed, 42.9 percent are female and 57.1 percent are male.

The total number of employees amounted 700.5 thousands (year-on-year 6.7 percent more). The total personnel costs of enterprises equaled to 4 104.5 million GEL (year-on-year 25.6 percent more).
