According to the Statistical Committee, in March 2024, the number of registered workers in Armenia reached 746,481 people, increasing by 5.1% compared to the same period last year.
The average monthly nominal wage for this period amounted to 307,655 drams ($771), representing an increase of 8.1% compared to the same period of the previous year. This growth is mainly explained by the increase in wages in both the public and private sectors by 9.6% and 7.3% respectively, according to the Telegram channel Economood.
It should be noted that in March 2024, Armenia's consumer market experienced a 12-month deflation of 1.2%, with a decrease of 0.2% compared to the previous month.
