Giorgi Ramishvili, the head of "Silk Road Group" told the media that "Silknet" is almost ready to receive 5G frequency and they are planning to start pilot projects in the near future.
"We've got 4.9G right now, which is what we're operating on now, and that's actually very little behind 5G. When the regulator sells these frequencies, if it is a good and correct proposal, of course, we will get involved," Giorgi Ramishvili says.
According to him, the involvement of the state is also necessary for the implementation of 5G.
"Both operator companies should do this, and state organizations should also be built on this 5G, along with that, the number of mobile phones that support 5G should increase, and at this stage their number is small," says the head of "Silk Road Group".
