USAID funding was not used for a real purpose, for some kind of charitable purposes, all of this was used in the countries, including Georgia specifically, to organize revolutions, bring unrest, and destabilize the country, - Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists in Kazakhstan.
According to the Prime Minister, today the US government is officially talking about what the Georgian government was talking about in the spring of 2023.
“What we were talking about in the spring of 2023, then last spring, is what the US government is officially talking about today. We are talking about the fact that USAID funding was not used for a real purpose, for some kind of charitable purposes, all of this was used in the countries, including Georgia specifically, to organize revolutions, bring unrest, destabilize the country, etc. Of course, all this requires additional investigation. We are glad that USAID funding has been suspended for three months. The main thing for us is that it remains like this, it would be very important for USAID to never again try to disrupt the situation in our country, never again try, for example, to falsify the results of vote tabulation, as well as directly support revolutionary processes, etc. We hope that the three-month suspension mechanism will remain in force until the end," the Prime Minister said.
