Eka Gigauri, the head of "Transparency International Georgia” says that her organization will not be voluntarily included in the register of foreign agents.
The fact is that the period of voluntary registration expires today. Gigauri thinks that Georgia has a decent civil society, because not even 1% of them were registered in the register of foreign agents.
"As we have mentioned many times, "Transparency International - Georgia" is not going to register. We are not going to live under the "Russian Law" in Georgia. Of course, we know that certain steps will be taken by our government, but we do not pay attention to it. The most important thing is observing the elections, and we will definitely do this together with our partners.
I think that we have a very decent Georgian civil sector because there are not even 1% of those who have been registered in the register of foreign agents," Gigauri said.
