Mindia Sabanadze, the founder of IG Development says that the business and government are on the same boat and try to solve existing problems.
"We are on the same boat and encourage each other. We create the wealth, which is brought in the budget, then the wealth is distributed in various directions. Today, we try to solve the problem jointly. We cannot have all answers today, but there will be the feedback,” said Mindia Sabanadze.
The manager of the shopping mall City Mall Saburtalo names the issues that were discussed at the meeting with the Prime Minister. He says the main thing is that the closed businesses will resume operating in the near future, but it depends on the epidemiological situation. Mindia Sabanadze notes, that the PM is trying very hard and stands by them.
“We talked about the easing of curfew and extend business operating hours by 1-2 hours. We took a promise to observe the condition for a maximum of 2 weeks and make a decision. In addition, we considered the opening of other businesses, including children's entertainment centers, gyms, restaurants, which opening depends on the epidemiological condition. We realize that we cannot play with human lives”, Sabanadze said.
According to the founder of IG Development, they considered the issue of the property tax break.
“We paid property tax, when the shopping mall was closed. We asked whether it would be possible to make any concessions in the future in this regard, the government answered that they are trying. The state is also dependent on its budget and their assistance is not limitless”, said the founder of IG Development, adding that today's meeting was different because the conversation took place unlike the previous meeting, when the business was emotional, as they only required opening.
