"We could not use the status of Green Country, the worst happened," Vato Asatashvili, the founder of Heliski Georgia told BM.GE.
According to Asatashvili, the government spent money on international advertising to position Georgia as an open country for visitors, but the government did not open its borders. Asatashvili notes, that the expenditures were made in vain.
Asatashvili criticized the Economy Minister’s statement, when she noted, that the state did everything to support the sector. He notes that it is not true.
"We hear statements of the Economy Minister for several weeks, she declares that they have done everything to support the tourism sector. I can tell you that nothing was done, besides the commitments’ delay. However, nothing has been done in terms of targeted aid," said founder of Heliski Georgia.
