The only correction, he noted, was that the bullet would not be fired by a specific killer, but by polarization, - this is how Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze answered a question regarding the preparation of the assassination of Bidzina Ivanishvili, the honorary chairman of Georgian Dream.
As Kobakhidze explains, such a thing "doesn't surprise anyone considering both the international context and the handwriting of the National Movement.
"Taking into account both the international context and the local context, no one is really surprised that the radical opposition may have such plans. In the end, of course, we have to monitor the investigation, but all this is not surprising at all, especially in light of the fact that we received a certain message from one of the European Commissioners regarding all this, it was a direct warning, which was later acknowledged by the European Commissioner. As for who might have such an interest, you can see who has, to put it mildly, wrong interests towards Georgia. There was a direct effort to involve Georgia in the military conflict, to open a second front in Georgia, which we did not allow. Due to this, certain forces are irritated, however, we must stand guard of our national interests until the end," said Kobakhidze.
