Mikheil Khidureli, Director of the Agency Enterprise Georgia, says the agency has been actively collaborating with Alshaya Group for several years to facilitate the entry of the Starbucks brand into the Georgian market.
According to Khidureli, the process has now moved into an intensive phase. A high-level delegation from Alshaya visited Georgia multiple times in 2025, with comprehensive market research, site inspections, and meetings with potential partners underway in close coordination with the agency.
The ongoing research includes an assessment of opportunities in Tbilisi, Batumi, and other major cities where Starbucks is considering opening several locations.
Khidureli added that the Georgian Embassy in Kuwait is closely involved in the efforts. Once a final decision is reached, “Enterprise Georgia” and Alshaya Group will release an official joint announcement.
