"As a Lithuanian, I must say very clearly: we need Georgia in the European Union. Those who say that no one is waiting for you in the EU are lying. Because we understand that those gray zones that remained without joining the European Union are only on the list of "Ruski Mir", i.e. Russia's influence, the Kremlin's influence, - Lithuanian MEP Rasa Juknevičienė told reporters in Tbilisi.
"But I also want to make it clear: the behavior of the ruling party over the past years, when they were elected in more or less fair elections, and now this regime is trying to continue this by using violence, is incompatible with EU membership. The masks are off, this is a very clear message from the ruling party about its commitment to EU membership. So, everything is in the hands of the people, for which they fight, and of course, that's why we are here on the side of those who fight for the same values that we want to share with you," said the MEP.
