Kareli Fruit Company Chikori plans to increase product exports by 50% this year.
As Anano Bezhanishvili, director of the company declares, the company produces several types of dried fruits, which are supplied to the local market throughout the country and only 30% of its products is exported.
"We have dried fruits produced from plums, persimmons, watermelons, melons, apples and also dried fruit cooked in the chocolate. We sell in packaged form and also by weight, we work in both local market and exports. We sell in the local markets throughout Georgia.
We export mainly to European countries, namely France, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland and the Netherlands.
We started working on exports in 2020, which led to a 50% increase in production last year. This year we plan to further develop in the field of exports and increase the supply of products by another 50%," - said Anano Bezhanishvili.
Kareli fruit company Chikori is operating on the Georgian market since 2015, which has a black plum garden and a dried fruit processing plant on 25 hectares in the village of Samtsevrisi, Kareli. The company employs 50 people.
