With this, he responded to the fact that the relevant department has already applied to Interpol to search for Giorgi Bachiashvili with a red circular.

"This is a standard procedure and in any case, when a person is arrested in absentia, they request a search, there is nothing new in this.

An Interpol search does not imply extradition, Interpol does not carry out extradition, Interpol is obliged to stop the wanted person if he approaches the border, whether he will be arrested or not is a separate procedure. We have also provided and will provide information to Interpol and all relevant structures that Bachiashvili should not be arrested," - noted Levan Makharashvili.

Giorgi Bachiashvili has been charged in 3 criminal cases and has been ordered to detention in absentia as a preventive measure in all three of them.

He was granted bail of 2,500,000 GEL as a preventive measure, and additional restrictive measures were also imposed. However, in this case, Bachiashvili's bail has been replaced with detention.

The aforementioned action provides for imprisonment for a term of 9 to 12 years.
