The tourism company Pegas Touristik Georgia is satisfied with the results of 2022.
"We can safely say that this year the company has returned to the point where the tourism sector stopped in 2019", says Salome Beraia, commercial director of Pegas Touristik Georgia.
According to her own assessment, after the post-pandemic period, the number of citizens traveling out of the country has increased this year.
As Salome Beraia said, Turkey was the most popular destination during the summer tourist season.
"90% of our customers were travelling to Turkey," she said.
Apart from Turkey, according to the commercial director of Pegas Touristik Georgia, Georgian citizens most often went to Egypt and Greece. Also, there was a request for a trip to Italy.
"Compared to 2020-2021, both demand and sales of tourist packages have increased by 40-45% this year, and as a result, 2022 exceeded all expectations for our company," she explained.
According to Salome Beraia, Pegas Touristik Georgia is trying to maintain the existing demand and positive dynamics. As she notes, the company is already preparing for the summer of 2023.
