Tbilisi Mayor Kakhа Kaladze stated that the opposition’s critical stance on the government’s initiative to regulate food prices shows that they do not want a normal situation in the country.
Kaladze emphasized that instead of supporting measures to address high prices on certain products, the opposition stands on the side of high prices, opposing any positive initiatives. He called their actions “traitorous” and accused them of taking instructions from external actors.
He noted that many products in Georgia are priced significantly higher than in European countries, which affects ordinary citizens, and stressed that the government aims for these prices to be properly regulated and aligned with fair standards.
Kaladze concluded that anyone who cares about the country and its people should support price regulation, and the opposition’s aggressive criticism reflects that they do not have the country’s interests at heart.
