Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced plans to build a new multifunctional community center near the newly constructed road bridge in Bagebi. Speaking on “Imedi LIVE,” the mayor said the first phase of the project will include an outdoor swimming pool.
Kaladze highlighted that Tbilisi City Hall has already completed two similar centers in Samgori and Didi Digomi, both of which are actively used by residents of all ages. He noted that citizens over 60 can access swimming pools, fitness zones and other facilities free of charge on spesific days.
The mayor also pointed to recent improvements around the Samgori community center, where newly built tennis and paddle courts are already operational. According to him, this reflects the city’s broader strategy to expand recreational and social infrastructure.
“We will continue implementing projects of this type,” Kaladze said. “In the near future, we plan to build a multifunctional community center in Bagebi, and the first project will include an open swimming pool.”
