The construction of Ambassadori Island Batumi is in an active phase. Eight months after the start of the project, 26 hectares of newly formed land have already been put into operation, and this area will reach 48 hectares by January. The update was shared with BMGTV by Gocha Kamkia, CEO of Ambassadori Island Batumi.
“As of today, we have truly remarkable results in line with what we promised the public: 26 hectares of the island have already been put into operation. In addition, thanks to very intensive work, we have created up to 20 hectares of land on the second peninsula, and by January, we are preparing to bring 48 hectares into operation,” said Kamkia.
According to him, as land formation progresses, the development phase of the project is unfolding in parallel, and Ambassador Island is already hosting three major business projects - each based on three critical principles the company considers essential.
“This island is not merely a construction site. It is a living organism with its own positive dynamics. Alongside construction, we have also launched the development phase, meaning that three major projects are already underway on this location. This requires individual attention and detailed description. About eight months ago, this area was entirely sea. The results we have achieved are truly impressive.
No major project here is based solely on economic indicators. Three principles form its foundation: first, the extraordinary efficiency and support from state institutions; second, the discipline of our company’s founder, Mr. Buba Keburia, which makes all of this possible; and third, a management team that is genuinely and passionately devoted to this project. Every employee involved sees themselves as part of a very important process,” Kamkia told BMG.
He also discussed the three major projects currently progressing on the island - one of which will become visible above ground as early as spring.
“Alongside construction, we have managed to host three large-scale business projects here. Once the 26 hectares were put into operation and officially recognized as suitable for development, we received a construction permit for a state-of-the-art project. Foundation and piling works are already underway, and by spring we will see the first above-ground structure… This will be the first clear signal for everyone that Batumi’s island is truly alive.
The second major project on this location, recently announced, is being implemented by an independent investor - FK Development. This is the Tonino Lamborghini Tower Batumi, a collectible-class real estate development.
The third project is led by prominent Georgian businessman Mr. Mindia Sabanadze and IG Development. It will be an ultra-modern shopping center spanning 120,000 m². There is no comparable concept currently in Georgia,” Kamkia said.
The Ambassador Island project is being developed by Ambassador Group in cooperation with various international partners. Ambassador Island Batumi, which envisions the creation of two artificial peninsulas and one artificial island covering 84 hectares of reclaimed land, is being developed in full compliance with sustainable development and smart-city principles.
