მერი

According to Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, the government of Georgia will always stand by non-governmental organizations or people who serve the interests of their own country and not others.

Kaladze evaluated the Prime Minister's statement on budget financing of non-governmental organizations with journalists and noted that they should have support from the government.

"Non-governmental organizations that do really good work, why not, we will support, help and finance them in every possible way. Yesterday, the Prime Minister spoke very extensively about the mentioned decision, the blackmail coming from abroad towards these organizations, that if you register, we will not finance you, it is very serious. Accordingly, those who really want to do good work for this country and our people, to serve this country and not someone else, not to pursue the interests of any other country, but to pursue the interests of their homeland, our country, the Georgian government will always stand by such organizations and people", Kaladze said.

For information, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, announced at a briefing that a decision was made to establish a grant program for Georgian non-governmental organizations, which will be financed from the state budget.
