Anano Dolaberidze, co-founder of online shopping platform "Phubber" declares, that the current year is one of the best for the platform. He stated this in a conversation with BM.GE.
As Anano Dolaberidze says, the results have improved in all directions. According to her, both the average order value and the purchasing power of customers have increased on the online platform.
“We have practically doubled the results in all aspects. Between August and October, we had a 5-year record in terms of sales. Despite the fact that businesses like Phubber are characterized by seasonality and summer is a less active period, summer was also interesting for us. Current year was more or less stable and other factors did not have a big impact. When we launched Phubber, there was a pandemic, war, or some other crisis, which makes it difficult to determine what the real results are. For example, during the pandemic, we had a high growth rate of up to 60%, because suddenly everyone started using the application. There weren’t many products in the e-commerce sector in the country, and companies started developing this direction when Phubber already existed, therefore, it was difficult to overestimate the results of the pandemic. This year, without the influence of external factors, we achieved such good results, which is gratifying and proud,” said Anano Dolaberidze.
Phubber was launched in 2019 with an investment of USD 15,000. Today, the platform is the largest online clothing and accessories store in Georgia, with over 270,000 registered users from Georgia alone. The platform unites more than 800 designers and brands.
