Azerbaijan became one of the main trade partners for Georgia in the first two months of 2023. In January-February, trade turnover between the countries amounted to USD 242 million 151 thousand. The country ranks the 4th among the largest trading partners with 8.4%-share.

According to official statistics, trade with Azerbaijan decreased by 2.7% compared to January-February last year.

In addition, Georgia earned USD 111 million 237 thousand from the exports of various goods to Azerbaijan, which was 20.5% higher compared to the same period of the last year.

The main exporting commodities during this period were cars, which were fully re-exported. These goods accounted for 55.8% of goods exported to Azerbaijan.

1. Vehicles - USD 62.1 million;
2. Other industrial tobacco and industrial tobacco substitutes - USD 4.1 million;
3. Trucks - USD 4.1 million;
4. Packaged medicinal products - USD 3.3 million;
5. Containers made of paper, cardboard, cellulose fiber cotton or canvas - USD 2.9 million;
6. Cotton from textile materials - USD 2 million;
7. Malt extract - USD 1.8 million;
8. Oil and oil products - USD 1.6 million;
9. Cyanides, oxycyanides, complex cyanides - USD 1.6 million;
10. Pipes, tubes and hollow profiles, seamless - USD 1.3 million.

1. Petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons - USD 107 million;
2. Cement - USD 5.2 million;
3. Products made of gypsum or mixtures based on it - USD 2.3 million;
4. Oil and oil products - USD 1.8 million;
5. Carbon steel rods - USD 1.4 million;
6. Packaged medicinal products - USD 838 thousand;
7. Gypsum; anhydrite; Batkashi - USD 835 thousand;
8. Onion, onion-shallot, leek, garlic and other onion-like vegetables - USD 703 thousand;
9. Milk and cream, non-condensed and without added sugar - USD 487 thousand;
10. Polymers of propylene or other olefins - USD 486 thousand.
