A Georgian parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, paid an official visit to India. According to the Parliament, meetings were held with both legislative and executive authorities, and the main topics were economic relations and the development of the Middle Corridor.
Papuashvili stated that the visit was historic, as it marked the first official trip to India by a high-ranking Georgian officials.
According to Geostat, in the first 10 months of 2025, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $113.66 million, which was 6% higher compared to the same period of 2024.
However, Georgian exports to India fell sharply by 42%, totaling $13.9 million, down from $24 million in January–October 2024.

Meanwhile, imports from India to Georgia increased by 20.9%, reaching $99.7 million in the first 10 months of 2025.

Money transfers from India to Georgia have also grown significantly. According to the National Bank of Georgia, $75,800 was transferred from India in the first 10 months of 2025, a 277% increase compared to the total remittances received throughout 2024.
Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
Geostat data shows that in the first half of 2025, FDI from India reached $2.5 million.
For comparison:

Tourism
Georgia continues to receive a steady flow of tourists from India. According to the Tourism Statistics Portal, 103,968 visits were made from India in the first nine months of 2025.
Tourist arrivals from India have been growing steadily since 2020. Last year, Georgia recorded a record 124,335 Indian visitors.
