Mikheil Kavelashvili, who became Georgia’s first indirectly elected president in December 2024, recently disclosed his assets and financial information in an official property declaration.

According to the document, Kavelashvili owns an 88-square-meter garage located on Gabashvili Street in Tbilisi. In a previous declaration, he had listed his adult son, Giorgi Ivanishvili, as the owner of a 134-square-meter apartment on Chavchavadze Street. In the most recent declaration, he identifies his other son, Guram Kavelashvili, currently a player for Telavi Football Club.

Kavelashvili reports 51,000 GEL in a bank account used for loan servicing, along with another 6,000 GEL held in a separate account. His parliamentary salary in the past year totaled 44,612 GEL. His son Guram earned 5,698 GEL from the football club.

He also holds a 40% stake in LLC Geomak, though he reported receiving no income from the company during the previous year.

On the liabilities side, Kavelashvili has a 56,000 GEL consumer loan.

Since assuming the presidency, his salary has significantly increased. Beginning in January 2025, the president’s annual salary rose to 159,600 GEL, nearly double that of his predecessor, Salome Zurabishvili, who earned 83,600 GEL annually.
