TBC Capital has published a report on Automotive Sector. According to the research, Toyota still remains the most in-demand brand in Georgia, represented by four models in the top ten, including Camry, Prius, Prius C and Rav 4.

A total of 1.6 million vehicles are registered across the country, 82% of them are light vehicles, 6.9% are trucks, 3.4% are buses, and the rest are special vehicles.
According to the cities, the largest concentration of cars is in Tbilisi, where 35% of the total number or 461,000 units is represented.
There are several visible trends in the direction of consumer preference, first of all, the demand for SUV-type (so-called Jeep) vehicles is increasing, while the consumer's interest in hatchback-type vehicles is falling sharply, which is in line with global trends.

Toyota controls 30% of the local market, and the Japanese giant has full dominance in the foreign market, namely, 66% of re-exports account for Toyota.
Regarding re-export, the highest demand is for new and 5-6-year-old cars, while the demand for 20-year-old cars abroad is almost zero.
This year, Azerbaijan remains the top export market, with 38% of the total volume, Ukraine is in second place with a 19% market share, 12% of re-exports accounts for Armenia, and 32% - other states.
