Real estate remains an attractive investment sector in Georgia due to strong demand and high returns, according to Irakli Burdiladze, Managing Partner of White Square. He said these factors are also contributing to rising foreign direct investment in the sector.
Burdiladze told BMG that White Square plans to invest more than $80 million in residential real estate construction this year, with total investment potentially reaching $100 million. The company plans to launch several major projects, supported by sales that are currently around 40% higher than during the same period last year.
“We had a very good year last year, but this year our sales are approximately 40% higher. Last year, the company invested more than $50 million in residential construction, and this year we plan to invest significantly more,” Burdiladze said.
According to Geostat, the real estate sector attracted nearly $120 million in FDI in Q2 2026. Total investment in the sector reached $168.5 million in the first half of the year, up 28% year-on-year. Real estate and construction together account for around 18% of Georgia’s GDP, according to Burdiladze.
