Exports from Georgia equaled USD 2 610.8 million in January-August 2021, which was 26% higher compared to the same period of 2020,- show the preliminary data from the Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
According to the report, in January-August 2021 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 77.7%. The top partners were China (USD 421.8 million), Russia (USD 377.1 million) and Azerbaijan (USD 347.0 million).
In January-August 2021 copper ores and concentrates reclaimed the first place in the list of top export items, equaling USD 517.9 million with 19.8 percent of total exports. The exports of Motor cars totaled USD 293.4 million and their share in the total exports amounted to 11.2 percent. The Ferro-alloys exports occupied the third place standing at USD 265.5 million and constituting 10.2
percent of the total exports.
