In January-February 2025, Georgia purchased 3,447 tons of milk worth 3.4 million USD, which is 93% more in quantity than the same period last year, and 35.5% more in value.
Against the backdrop of the "milk scandal", bm.ge became interested in who imports milk into Georgia and who owns the milk importing companies in Georgia.
According to the information provided by the Statistics Service, the list is as follows:
1. Agrotrade 22 LLC - registered in 2022, 50% of the shares of the company are owned by Zurab Gorgadze and 50% by Teimuraz Gogishvili;
2. Agrohub LLC - the owner of the company is Akaki Akhvlediania;
3. BB Company LLC - registered in 2002, the company belongs to Aleksandre Beridze;
4. LLC Vim-Bil-Dan Georgia - owned by the Russian-registered joint-stock company Vim-Bildan;
5. LLC Intrade - 100% owned by the joint-stock company Nikora. The company is governed by a general meeting, the chairman of which is Vasil Sukhiashvili, deputies Guram Tsertsvadze and Irakli Nikoleishvili. Members: David Dumbadze, David Tsirekidze, Gela Arobelidze and Russian citizen Oleg Gubanov. The general director is Irakli Bokolishvili;
6. LLC Lactalis Georgia - owned by the Belgian-registered joint-stock company B.S.A.International;
7. LLC Trade Team - the company is equally shared by four owners with 25% shares. Owned by: Ilia Sharikadze, Sopho Sukhiashvili, Tamar Jerenashvili, Nika Sukhiashvili;
8. Foodservice LLC - a subsidiary of Holding LLC. G. Folob, which in turn is owned by Archil Gegenava;
9. Geo-Coop LLC - a company registered in 2009, is owned by dual citizen of Georgia and Armenia Hmayak Arsenyan;
10. Georgian Food Corporation LLC - a subsidiary of Goodwill Invest LLC, which is owned by Leila Kavtaradze. In both cases, she is also a director.
