The Roads Department of Georgia revealed the tender winner, which was announced on May 15, 2024.
According to the tender, road construction works should be carried out in the regions of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti. The value of the tender amounts to GEL 80,000,000. LLC New Road (S/N 441993112) won the tender.
According to the data of the business register, the company "New Road" was registered on October 29, 2010. Its 100%-owner is Davit Zghenti.
The company participated in a total of 218 tenders, of which it won 83 tenders, with an estimated value of GEL 658,020,417.
The owner of the company, Davit Zhghenti, was on the list of donors to the ruling party "Georgian Dream" in 2017. Zhgenti donated GEL 30,000 to "Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia".
According to the tender documentation, LLC New Road is given 36 calendar months from the signing of the contract to complete the road construction works in the regions of Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
The state procurement website does not specify which municipalities and highways are included in the tender.
