Chef Guram Bagdoshvili is going to close the restaurant "My Kokhta Bakuriani" due to the bad season at the ski resort. As Bagdoshvili told Business Morning, despite the championship, the activity at the resort is minimal and the food facilities are at a loss.
Accoridng to him, due to the lack of snow, the ropeway turned on just on February 16, which hampered restaurants' work by a month and a half. Another problem was that food stands were set up on top of Kokha and tourists actively used those food stands.
"Bakuriani city center is rather crowded. I have two restaurants in Kokhta, as well as in Didveli. To say that one side is better than another is a lie", - Bagdoshvili said.
According to him, both restaurants' loss amounted to over 200,000 lari per month and as he noted, he lost interest in Bakuriani and he would never open any objects at ski resorts.
As for Batumi, Bagdoshvili has positive expectations.
"We have a very successful restaurant in Batumi. We are planning to expand this year in the direction of outdoor space. We are waiting for a lot of guests in Batumi. I believe that we will have a better year in Batumi compared to the last year," Bagdoshvili said.
