The National Competition Agency might start monitoring new markets the next year. The point is that the agency is considering launching monitoring of the insurance and agricultural sectors.

According to Irakli Lekvinadze, the chairman of the Competition Agency, work is underway with the market participants, and in case of necessity, monitoring will be carried out from the next year.

"Now we are considering several applications. One is related to the insurance sector and assessments on a certain issue in relation to the banking sector. The second direction is the agricultural sector, where we also work with the participants of this market.

We have information from local market participants that this sector may need more competitiveness and transparency. In case of sufficient grounds, we will conduct market monitoring. It will probably be from the next year", said Irakli Lekvinadze.
