Georgia’s National Wine Agency will invest $120,000 (about GEL 320,000) this year in a marketing campaign aimed at boosting the presence of Georgian wine in South Korea.
The agency has signed a one-year contract with WINE21.COM CO., which will organize tastings, masterclasses, and wine festivals promoting Georgian wine. The company will also run a nationwide digital marketing campaign via the Instagram page “Georgia – The Homeland of Wine”, raising awareness about Georgian wine and winemaking traditions.
According to GeoStat, Georgian wine exports to South Korea remain relatively small but have shown overall growth in recent years, with the exception of 2025.
Wine export figures to South Korea over the last five years were:
2025 – $257,000
2024 – $334,700
2023 – $300,600
2022 – $187,000
2021 – $407,000
The campaign aims to strengthen Georgia’s foothold in an emerging Asian market where interest in global wine varieties is steadily increasing.
