Wine Tourism Boosts Investment in Armenia – Economy Minister

On September 12, Armenia's Minister of Economy, Gevorg Papoyan, participated in the opening of the 8th UN World Congress on Wine Tourism. In his speech, the minister highlighted the importance of wine tourism for the country's economic development.

Gevorg Papoyan noted that wine tourism is viewed as a key driver of economic growth and cultural exchange. According to the minister, this sector contributes to the influx of investments, infrastructure development, and balanced economic growth in Armenia's regions.

The government aims to support local producers and promote sustainable practices in winemaking regions. The minister emphasized that wine tourism, deeply connected to Armenia's centuries-old culture and history, plays a vital role in attracting investment and fostering regional development.

The three-day congress brings together representatives from more than 20 countries, including leaders from tourism agencies and the private sector. The event is focused on sharing experiences and developing new ideas in the field of wine tourism.

The congress serves as a platform for international cooperation and the creation of new opportunities in this sector.
