Starting from December 2, Kutaisi International Airport will add a new destination — Venice. The information was released by the United Airports of Georgia.
Europe’s most environmentally sustainable airline, Wizz Air, will operate Venice–Kutaisi–Venice flights twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, using Airbus A321neo aircraft.
As a result, Kutaisi will have direct air connections to a third city in Italy. Tickets are already available on the airline’s website.
At the start of the summer navigation season, Wizz Air resumed flights from Kutaisi International Airport to Madrid and Hamburg. In June, the airline also launched a completely new route to Lyon, with twice-weekly regular direct flights.
Since 2022, the airline has maintained its position as the leader in Georgia’s aviation market. According to data from the first seven months of 2025, Wizz Air served nearly 900,000 passengers in Georgia. During the same period alone, the airline operated around 4,800 flights to and from Kutaisi — almost 9% more than in the same period last year.
Currently, Wizz Air operates flights from Kutaisi International Airport to 24 destinations in 13 countries across Europe and the Middle East.
