Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze inspected the ongoing reconstruction works of the Rustaveli-Mtatsminda ropeway on Thursday. Works launched a month ago will complete in 2022.
Kaladze pledged to preserve the interior of the main building, which holds the status of a historic-cultural heritage monument. Dagi company commands the renovation works while the Austrian Company Doppelmayr Seilbahnen GmbH is responsible for the project’s engineering-technological part.
Mtatsminda Park will operate the twenty-one gondola ropeway that will be moving in a two-way direction and cover the distance in 4 minutes to serve 1200 passengers per hour.
