Dimitry Kumsishvili: We signed the Joint Declaration on Launching of Joint Feasibility Study on Free Trade Agreement Negotiation

“I am happy that today we managed to summarize our joint effort and signed the Georgia-Israel Joint Declaration on Launching of Joint Feasibility Study on Free Trade Agreement Negotiation,” – the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili stated upon signing the Joint Declaration on Launching of Joint Feasibility Study on Free Trade Agreement Negotiation with the Minister of Economy and Industry of Israel, Eli Cohen.

“I believe that the Feasibility Study will bring positive results and provide our countries with additional opportunities to create new jobs and expand export. We will also have the opportunity to enjoy technology transfer from Israel,” – the First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili noted.

As the First Vice Prime Minster noted, the Study will identify specific investment projects and possibilities in different sectors of Georgia’s economy for Israeli investors.

“We do our best in order to become an important contributor to the regional economy, taking into account the geopolitical location of Georgia, on the crossroads of Europe and Asia, with stable and attractive business environment and investment climate,” – Kumsishvili stated.

As the First Vice Prime Minister highlighted, Georgia is a one of the leading countries in terms of attractive investment environment. As he noted, economic reforms implemented in Georgia has already brought tangible results that are well reflected in international rankings. In regard with ease of doing business and investment attractiveness, Georgia is one of the leader country in the region and globally, as well. According to Doing Business 2018 Georgia is in the list of top ten ranking countries.
