ADB Gives Positive Evaluation of Georgia’s Current and Future Projects

First Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitry Kumsishvili held a meeting with the ADB Central and West Asia Department Director General, Werner Liepach and the members of the ADB delegation.

Current and future projects within the frames of the cooperation between Georgia and the ADB were the main topic of the conversation. The ADB representatives gave the positive evaluation of the project implementation processes in Georgia and confirmed the support to the reforms envisaged by the 4-point plan of the Government of Georgia.

Meeting participants focused on the priorities of the Asian Development Bank and particularly on infrastructure development, energy, transport, professional education programs, etc. Discussions also covered the implementation process of the ongoing structural reforms and namely the pension reform and the preparation of the public to private partnership legislative framework, which the ADB is actively involved in. 

Both parties to the conversation confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in the future.

Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Ekaterine Mikabadze and the First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Chairman of the Road Department Irakli Karseladze also attended the meeting.
