Georgia has received 266,544 visitors in August 2021, which is a record number since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the National Tourism Administration (GNTA), the tourist flow has increased by 510% compared to 2020, but the figure still remains 75% less compared to 2019. Accordingly, tourist number is recovered merely by 24.5% in August compared to 2019.
According to the statistics of GNTA, more than half of the visitors - 156,101 - arrived in the country by the air in August.

In July 2021, Georgia received $ 205.3 million in revenue from international tourism, a record amount since the pandemic began.
