I Don't See Anything Wrong With The Recovery Of Direct Flights From Russia - Mayor
Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze says that he does not see anything wrong with Russia's decision to recover direct flights to Georgia.
According to him, taking the mentioned decision might even be good for Georgia.
"You know that flights were restricted. Georgia was sanctioned. If this decision is taken from their side, I don't see anything wrong with it. On the contrary, it can be good for our country. It should be good from the point of view that up to a million of our compatriots live in Russia, and direct flights will even help people to get around," said Kaladze.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said yesterday that the Georgian authorities, despite the request from the West, did not join the sanctions against Russia and expressed hope that direct flights to Georgia will be recovered soon.
