Israel’s new Ambassador to Georgia, Hadas Meitzad has today officially started her post, stating she is happy and honored to start her role and that she is looking forward to further deepen the close relations between the two countries.

“I am happy and honored to start my post as the designated Israel Ambassador to Georgia.

Israel and Georgia have a rich history of friendship and diplomatic ties. I am looking forward to further deepening our close relations as well as to enjoy this beautiful country,” newly appointed Ambassador of Israel to Georgia, Hadas Meitzad wrote on Twitter.

Ambassador Meitzad replaced Ambassador Ran Gidor, who had been serving in the post since 2020.

Meitzad is a graduate of Bar-Ilan University. She holds MBA degree from Tel Aviv University.

From 2009 till present, she served as a Desk Officer at the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Prior to that, she was the Israeli Embassy’s spokesperson in Tokyo from 2007-2010, as well as a Cadet in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
