3500 new jobs will be created in the highest paid sectors within 2 years, - Natia Turnava, Minister of economy and Sustainable Development has declared.
According to her, the plan envisages how the country will attract the FDI.
“Over the last 7 years, the average annual rate of foreign direct investment has increased by 35% compared to the same period of the previous year; Georgia's FDI share is three times higher in the GDP. The results of the third quarter of recent FDI are very promising. Most important, the amount of reinvested earnings has almost doubled. It means that investors’ confidence towards the Georgian economy is growing, but that does not give us any reason for complacency. We will do our best to strengthen these positive trends in 2020. That’s why we have developed a new proactive strategy on how we will attract investors in the next two years and how we will increase the flow of FDI. As a result of this strategy, 3500 new jobs will be created in the highest paid sectors”, Natia Turnava said.
