More than 700 companies are operating in Georgia with Azerbaijan capital today, Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development declared while meeting her counterpart  Mikayil Jabbarov.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Ministers and their associated persons have discussed the trade and economic relations of two countries and focused on priority areas such as bilateral trade, energy, transport and logistics, investments, tourism and so on.

“Today, as never before, economic relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan are at a very high level. Azerbaijan has traditionally been a leader in bilateral trade relations. We are implementing many joint economic, infrastructure and business projects. Today more than 700 companies with Azerbaijani capital operate in Georgia and there are very good conditions for joint business activities as well as for Azerbaijani business in Georgia,” Turnava said.

According to her, "if our countries unite their efforts to increase the competitiveness of the common corridor, it will benefit both countries" .
