A public meeting with all interested parties regarding the rehabilitation of Vake Park will take place on Saturday, December 7 at 12:00 in Vake Park. Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated about it at the government meeting.
According to Kakha Kaladze, Vake Park should be designed by the already selected British company - CBA. According to him, Vake Park has a special symbolic significance for Tbilisi and Tbilisi residents and the participation of the population in the design process is essential.
The Mayor of the capital called on the population and all interested parties to get involved in the discussion.
“The company will present its vision on the rehabilitation and development of the park to all interested persons. It is very important to involve local people, experts and NGOs to get their views on the functional zoning of the park. Vake Park has a status of cultural heritage and each detail has a particular importance. The British company we have selected has extensive experience working in the area of cultural heritage parks,” said Kakha Kaladze.
According to Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, rehabilitation works of Vake Park will start in 2020.
