"Today we have a growing number of tourists from China, though the increase in figures is quite modest comparing to the potential," said Natia Turnava, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, who met with representatives of Ctrip travel company in Shanghai and discussed future cooperation with them.
Ctrip is one of the leading companies providing online travel services in China and the East Asia. The company actively cooperates with the Eastern European countries in arraignment of Chinese tours.
"We have negotiated that we will have a very fast and effective partnership with this company in order to plan joint events and teach our tourism industry how to become more attractive for Chinese tourists. This is a great potential and a great source of income, especially for small hotel and restaurant industry, " Natia Turnava said.
