The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Georgia has announced the expulsion of 25 foreign nationals in recent days as part of efforts to combat illegal migration.
According to the MIA, the operation was carried out in coordination with the Migration Department and other units of the ministry. The expelled individuals were citizens of 14 countries, including Armenia, Uzbekistan, Iran, Nigeria, Tajikistan, China, Turkmenistan, Russia, India, Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
“The expelled persons were banned from entering the country based on the current legislation of Georgia,” the ministry stated.
The MIA emphasized that the Migration Department plays a key role in identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and in implementing their expulsion. The ministry also noted that similar enforcement measures will continue moving forward.
