In 11 months, 50 thousand containers were shipped through the so-called "middle corridor", - this was discussed at the working meeting of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route Association, which was held last week in Tbilisi.
Data show that about 3,700 TEU containers were transported along the mentioned route in November alone. In addition, 328 container trains have passed through the corridor since the beginning of the year, of which 304 came from the People's Republic of China.
According to the association, the working group meeting approved the tariffs for cargo transportation along the route for 2025. The participants also agreed on development plans and forecast volumes of traffic for the coming year, with emphasis on the priority development of services and increasing the volume of transit containers.
