The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) published a report on Water Supply Enterprises. Referring to survey results, in 2022, 27 enterprises were involved in water supply activities in Georgia. The volume of water provided to households amounted to 208.0 million cubic metres which is 1% lower compared to 2021 (210.1 cubic meters).
As of December 31, 2022, the number of population connected to water supply industry amounted to 2.67 million (71.5 %) which is 1.6% higher compared to 2021 (2.63 million).
In 2022, the number of population connected to a wastewater collecting system increased by 3.1% compared to the year prior (1.90 million) and amounted to 1.96 million (52.4 %), while the number of population connected to wastewater treatment facilities increased by 9% compared to previous year (1.36 million) and reached 1.49 million (39.8 % of total population).
