Tbilisi Vice Mayor Irakli Khmaladze inspected the burned-out market near the station square. According to Tbilisi City Hall, Khmaladze inspected the shops destroyed by the fire and met with the traders gathered at the site.
"It was decided at the meeting that the first priority task at this stage is the dismantling of the destroyed structures and the restoration of the territory, which the City Hall will ensure.
A meeting has been scheduled for today at Tbilisi City Hall, where traders will present information to the Vice Mayor on the volume of damage and other details," the City Hall said.
Irakli Khmaladze met with the victims of the fire yesterday as well. At the meeting, the Vice Mayor expressed his readiness for the City Hall to show goodwill and provide some assistance to the victims.
As a result of the fire that broke out in the Borjomi market, approximately 15 thousand square meters were burned. As for the damage, depending on the traders, the damage for each trader ranges from 20,000-50,000 GEL.
