In Oni, a military serviceman died presumably from a heart attack while working in the disaster area. The information is disseminated by the Ministry of Defense.
"The Ministry of Defense of Georgia expresses deep sorrow over the death of the senior instructor of the 10th Territorial Defense Brigade of the National Guard, Temur Kharchilava, born in 1973. On August 29, 2023, the instructor of the 2nd training course of the training center "Sorta" was performing his duty in Shovi, Oni municipality, and during the ongoing rescue work, he died presumably from a heart attack.
The Ministry of Defense once again expresses its sorrow over the death of Temur Kharchilava and extends condolences with the family, relatives, and colleagues of the deceased," the statement reads.
