Rescuers discovered the bodies of four more people in the landslide-hit Shovi resort of the Oni municipality, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported, confirming the rise of the death toll to 6.
The MIA safely evacuated 140 more people from the disaster area and reported no touch with 35 missing persons.
To aid in the rescue efforts, the Emergency Situations Management Service despatched a team of cynologists accompanied by highly trained dogs.
Police personnel from Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi, and Kvemo Svaneti regions, as well as two Border Police helicopters, continue search and rescue operations.
