According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on February 2, law enforcement officers detained a total of 31 people during a protest on Agmashenebeli Alley, adjacent to Tbilisi Mall.
As of the body, all of the people were detained under administrative procedure for an offense under Article 173, which pertains to disobedience to a lawful request of a police officer.
Among those arrested are former President of the National Bank of Georgia Giorgi Kadagidze and former Mayor of Tbilisi Gigi Ugulava.
According to reports, some of the detainees have already been released, including one of the leaders of the Coalition for Change, Nika Melia.
