Asian Development Bank has financed full rehabilitation and modernization of the Bridge Laboratory at the Georgian Technical University, as well as capacity building of the center employees.
As a result, the capacity and quality of the center has been expanded. The range of services has also been broadened from research and examination of bridges and tunnels to all kinds of measuring works. The lab now carries out commercial projects with Georgia’s top developers and students are involved in the process.
Bridge Lab is Georgia’s leading learning center for future bridge and tunnel engineers. It’s crucial to the construction of high-quality infrastructure in the country.
Since it was founded in the 1950s, the lab had never been renovated until ADB helped upgrade it.
The project has been implemented by the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.
